Add temperature and moisture fields to the attribute table.

The next step is to fill in the fields.

Go to Options -> Select by Attributes. Click on the Help button.

Review the instructions for using the "Like" selector.

Fill in the statement using the wildcard -> * . Note use double quotes around the f*.

Show only selected records.

Use the field calculator to fill in the temperature class.

Go to Options -> Switch selection to quickly select the rest of the records.

For the moisture field move the wildcard to before the selected term.

Repeat the attribute selection and field calculation process for each of the terms.
