Soils 445/545: 3 cr or 5.2 CEU

Field Analysis of Sustainable Food Systems

Schedule

Each offering of the course has focused on different areas, but with similar themes, questions and approaches.  With the exception of the first and last days of our time together in the field, we are 'on the road' visting farms, processing or marketing venues - often leaving our base camp early in the morning and returning for supper (sometimes later).  You can expect to visit 3-4 sites per day, and spend time discussing in large and/or small groups at some point as well.

Here are specific schedules we've had in the past - to give you an idea of what to expect.  The next offering's schedule will be available the first day we meet.  (See the course syllabus for dates, time, and location of the course's starting location!).

March 2007 -  based in Snohomish and Skagit Counties, WA
August 2005 - based in Spokane and Moses Lake, WA
August 2004 - based in Pullman/Moscow and Moses Lake, WA
August 2003 - based in Pullman/Moscow and Prosser, WA
